Dynamic balance measurement of grinding wheels is to measure the rotational balance of grinding wheels used in grinding machines. Until now, grinding wheel balance has generally been measured in a static state before installation.
In contrast, the dynamic balance measuring instrument developed by NAGASE automatically measures where and how much unbalance occurs in the rotating body in the actual state of use. This is the first technology and product in the world that Nagase has developed for the production of ultra-precision grinders capable of pursuing nano-level surface roughness.

  • The Balancedoctor is a high-precision dynamic balance correction and management device that can be installed on new and existing surface grinders.
  • The center of gravity of the grinding wheel during rotation is automatically shifted according to the balance condition of the grinding wheel detected by the balance vector to maintain a good balance condition.
  • Imbalance of the grinding wheel is automatically corrected by injecting water (grinding fluid) from the injector into the pocket installed on the front of the wheel flange according to instructions from the balance vector.
  • It is highly resistant to external disturbances and enables non-contact balance correction.
  • Water is injected by air pressure, and the injecting volume can be controlled.The injecting liquid is blown off just before the grinding wheel stops.The flange is maintenance-free.
