Bed grinding (bed machining) is the grinding of large workpieces such as the beds that make up the machine bodies of machine tools, forging machines, and semiconductor equipment. The "non-contact, multiple-restricted oil static slideway" with no friction and no deflection is most effective in the ultra-precision machining of large workpieces. Sub-micron straightness is achieved even for meter-size workpieces. It is capable of bed grinding with high repeatability, overwhelming accuracy and efficiency, and precision finishing of compound guideway surfaces.
