Helical gear grinding is the diagonal machining of a threaded tooth profile on a cylindrical workpiece using a grinding wheel. This is made possible by synchronous control of multiple axes using a numerically controlled gear forming grinding machine. In the machining of helical gear-shaped electrodes, master gears, and quiet and conductive high-precision gears, NAGASE's gear grinders are capable of machining with accuracy better than the old JIS 0 class.
