Flatness grinding (flatness machining) is the process of machining the flat surface of a workpiece using a grinding wheel. Flatness grinding is performed to even out the thickness of workpiece as well as to create geometrically correct flatness and parallelism on both sides. Among these processes, NAGASE's ultra-precision surface grinding machine are manufactured to realize "flatness creation process aiming at parallelism and flatness of 1 μm or less" with high repeatability and reproducibility.
