High-Precision and High-Efficiency Machining of Die Components such as Carbide Punches and Dies.

Contour grinding (contour forming) is a process to finish a surface profile along the contour of a workpiece. In the case of a numerically controlled surface form grinding machine, the table is flipped to the left or right, and machining is performed by synchronizing the two axes (vertical axis and cross axis) or the three axes (vertical, longitudinal, and rotation/indexing). Precision contour grinding require small depth of cut and a lot of time. To solve this problem, NAGASE developed the high-reciprocating form grinding process. It is known as the one and only machining method that can pursue not only accuracy but also efficiency.
