The table work area is large enough to perform a wide range of grinding operations, yet the machine requires 20% less space for installation and is approximately 80 mm more compact in height than similarly sized grinding machines.Yet, the machine structure is highly accurate and rigid. Accuracy and efficiency beyond those of general-purpose grinding machines are realized.
Supports depth work
Adopts a unique highly rigid T-shape bed structure that can take advantage of the 0.1um NC command value. Highly rigid rolling guide surfaces are used on the upper and lower axes to achieve appropriate depth of cut. High-precision ball bearings are used on the grinding wheel spindle to realize high-precision infeed. Hydrostatic bearings and an ultra-low vibration motor, developed in-house for ultra-precision machines, can be mounted as options, enabling higher quality surface machining. Furthermore, when combined with the Ultimately Efficient Coolant System "爆削BAKUSAKU®" (OP), even more highly efficient machining is realized.
The column-moving type eliminates table overhang and achieves excellent straightness and squareness accuracy. The dynamic pressure-sliding structure, based on NAGASE's unique sliding surface design carefully finished by skilled workman, achieves flatness and parallelism not found in other machines with sliding surfaces.
Optimization has resulted in a 20% reduction in installation space compared to NAGASE's previous machines.
A simple touch-panel control system specialized for flat and groove machining is employed, enabling automatic grinding and dressing of flat and groove workpieces with revolutionary ease-of-use. No complicated operations are required; machining settings and status can be checked on a single screen. After setting the workpiece, simply set the grinding conditions and press the automatic button. Anyone can easily perform high-precision machining. Various control functions are available, such as changing conditions during grinding and numerical control of the left and right directions.
